I have been involved in anti-bias work since 1991. My background is in social work, early childhood development and adult education. Born in Durban, I lived in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, in the 1980s and worked at the Sir Humphrey Gibbs Training Center for mentally challenged children and adults. In 1990 I returned to South Africa and worked at the Early Learning Resource Unit (ELRU) for 11 years in their Anti-Bias project, later moving into Human Resources Management. I was the Diversity Co-coordinator at St George’s Grammar School. I am now an independent anti-bias practioner and trainer.
